4/28/08 - Catalunan Grande "A" won the 13 and under category of the first staging of the Paolo Duterte Cup Youth Football Tournament on 26 April 2008 at the Catalunan Grande Elementary School grounds. The event is part of the "Araw ng Catalunan Grande" festivities. SOS Children's Village came in second and Ateneo placed third. The Catalunan Grande teams were sponsored by Medvil Farms through coach Pops Vilela.
This is a 7 a-side tournament is hosted by Barangay Captain Paolo Z. Duterte and sanctioned by the Davao Football Association.
In the 11 & under category, Ateneo dominated the group. Second place is SOS Chidlren's Village and the third spot goes to Catalunan Grande "A".
Tournament organizer Kagawad Val Turtur, Kagawad Dasio Lopez, Davao FA general secretary and Maidy Lynn Lim (of UP Mindanao's Siki ni Oble who assisted in managing the competitions) awarded the trophies and medals.
