We would like to welcome you to the official web site of the Davao Football Association (DFA). We hope that this site not only serves our members but also becomes a source of information for all fans of soccer in the Philippines and around the world. We encourage you to visit often and check this site for the latest in news, results, schedule changes and events in and around Davao.

The 72nd Araw ng Dabaw Sportsfest Football Tournament on 14 - 15 March 2009 at the Tionko Football Grounds, Quimpo Blvd.

The categories on 14 March are: 8 & Under (born 2001 & later); 10 & Under (born 1999 & later); 12 & under (born 1997 & later); 14 Under (born 1995 & later); Girls (high school only); Girls (elementary only).

The teams that confirmed their participation are Ateneo, Catalunan Grande, SOS Children's Village, Abba's Orchard, Philippine Women’s College of Davao, St. Paul, Montserrat Camp School, Mintal Elementary School, Central Mindanao University (Bukidnon), Zonta ES, Kapt. Tomas Monteverde ES, Club Digos (Digos City), Garuda FC (Indonesians), Brainworks, Holy Child School of Davao, and Faith Academy.

The 7 a-side format will be used for 10 & Under, 12 & Under, and elementary girls. The 8 & Under will be 5 a-side, 14 & Under is 8 a-side, and high school girls has a 9 a-side format. The target for this event is for all teams to play at least six games and for all players to see action. As such, after the first half those who did not play will be required to participate in the second half.

On Sunday (15 March) the categories are Men's 1st Division; Men's 2nd Division; Men's 35 & Above; and Ladies Open. The participating teams are: Carbon Neutral, Bao Breakers (Iligan City), DAVRAA team (Red and Green), Central Mindanao University, General Santos City, Garuda FC, UP Mindanao. D’ Davao Survivors FC, Davao United FC, Water World, Lumad FC, Hooligans FC, and Seagull FC.

The games will all be in the 7 a-side format.

This event is made possible by Mayor Rody Duterte and Vice Mayor Inday Sara Duterte through the City Sports Development Division.

+Membership Fees and Annual Dues
Please be reminded of the payment of annual membership fees for regular members(clubs, teams, schools, and organizations) amounting to one thousand pesos (P 1,000) and annual dues of one hundred pesos (P 100) for associate members / players.

This is a requirement for teams, clubs, organization to participate in Davao FA sanctioned competitions. Likewise, individual players must pay the membership dues to be eligible to play.

For players nineteen years old and below, a photocopy of your birth certificate will be required to be submitted. Registered players will be issued ID cards where date of birth will be indicated. This will facilitate eligibility checks in age group competitions.

Deadline of payment is on March 9, 2009 at the DFA Clubhouse, Tionko Football Grounds.
